History Winter Engineering was founded in 1998 as a sole proprietorship and later incorporated in 2008 as Winter Eng. Corp. Vic Winter, P.E. has over 30 years of structural engineering experience. Vic earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering with Honors in 1975, and a Master of Science in Engineering in 1978 from the University of Texas at Austin. His graduate research in post-tensioned concrete design was instrumental establishing banded tendons as an acceptable industry design procedure. Upon Graduation in 1977, Vic began his career in Houston at Brown & Root's engineering division, and from there went on to work for several other notable structural engineering design firms throughout Texas before starting his own practice in 1998. From 1988 through 1993 Vic also oversaw the design and construction of a number of building projects for Travis County and the State of Texas. We believe that our experience as an Owner brings a client’s perspective to our work.
